Yooperlite, scientifically known as Syenite, contain fluorescent Sodalite. They were named Yooperlite, as they are commonly found in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and glow under black light. Under normal light they have a polished granite-like appearance. This sterling silver pendant is approximately 2.5" long in total, and is hand made in Michigan.
